Powder coating for zinc high pressure die castings is a popular surface finish within the home appliances, telecommunication, electrical component industries and display markets. As a result, it can significantly improve surface decoration and protection.
Another option is Thermoplastic powder coating.
During its production process, thermoplastic powder flows into a uniform thin layer to provide a heat stable surface that will not soften back when re-heated.

A zinc casting is a coating with finely ground particles of pigment and resin. These particles are electrostatically charged and applied to electrically grounded zinc cast parts and components. The charged powder particles adhere to the zinc and are held there until melted and fused into a uniform coating in a curing oven.
When powder coating cast products and components they require pre-treatment to ensure the surface to be coated is clean and free of grease, dust, oils, rust and residue. Therefore, powder coating often incorporates a chrome phosphate application stage resulting in corrosion protection and improved adhesion of the coating.
After initial pre-treatment for powder coating castings are usually left in a low-temperature oven to dry before the powder coating applications are applied.
